Activities
  • Afterwards, head towards Punakha. The view spans about 180 degrees. Take a stroll around the newly constructed 108 stupas before continuing on to Punakha, a subtropical valley. The drive offers stunning scenery. Before checking into the hotel, take a walk through a paddy field to Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple associated with the phallic symbol of religion. You will be taking numerous photos of this subject that are displayed at the entrances of most Bhutanese homes.
