Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu
Activities
  • Upon your arrival for your journey by flight, we will pick you from Kathmandu International Airport and take you to our hotel. This will usually be a relaxed day for you to explore the colorful streets of Kathmandu valley or visit nearby temples. However, if you arrive early in the day, you can visit the Pashupatinath temple and Guhyeshwari Temple.
Day 2
Travel 205 km from Kathmandu to Pokhara by road/ flight
Activities
  • On the 2nd day of your Muktinath yatra from Kathmandu, we will start our journey to the Lake-town Pokhara after breakfast. En route, we will visit Manakamana Devi Temple also called Manokamana. Going across the Kathmandu valley, the road goes through high mountains and then alongside Trishuli River till Manakamana Devi. Manakamana temple is situated on top of a mountain, so the only way to reach the temple is by cable car. You will take a cable car to reach the temple. After the darshan, we will return to our vehicle and start our onward journey to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara you will check in to your hotel. In the evening you can roam around the lakeside streets as our hotel is close to the famous Phewa Lake.

Day 3
Pokhara to Jomsom by flight and drive to Muktinath (25KMs) then return to Jomsom
Activities
  • On day 3 of Muktinath yatra from Kathmandu, we will drop you at Pokhara airport early in the morning for your journey to Jomsom. Pokhara to Jomsom flight time is 30 minutes and is considered one of the most spectacular mountain flights on the entire planet. You can see a lot of valleys, beautiful mountaintop villages, waterfalls, and rivers. You will get a spectacular view when the flight glides between two gigantic mountains- Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Nilgiri. After you land at Jomsom airport, our guide will meet you and take you on your onward journey for the yatra. You will drive to Muktinath in a shared or a private vehicle based on your package. Your car will drop you at the vehicle stand, which is at the entrance of the Muktinath town. You will have to walk for 20 – 30 minutes to reach the temple. After the temple darshan, you will return to the vehicle stand and return to Jomsom and stay in our hotel for the night. Jomsom is a small town situated amidst high mountains on the bank of Kaligandaki River, so you can roam around the small street of Jomsom, shop, and enjoy the local delicacies.

Day 4
Fly back to Pokhara
Activities
  • We will fly you back to Lake-town Pokhara on the same mountain flight. On the 4th day of your journey, you can treat your eyes as you can see the same beautiful views from your window! After reaching Pokhara airport, we will pick you from the airport and start your Pokhara local sightseeing. On the 4th day of the Muktinath yatra from the Kathmandu trip, we will visit some of the most popular places in Pokhara. First, we will visit Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, and then see the spectacular Davis waterfall. You can see the high speed of water flow, which features rainbows very often. We will then visit Gupteshwar Mahadev, situated deep inside a limestone cave. You need to climb down many steps to reach the temple. Be a little careful when you go down in the cave as the steps are always wet. After the darshan of Lord Shiva, we will visit the Taal Barahi temple- a significant landmark in Pokhara town. As the temple is situated on a tiny island on Phewa Lake, you have to take a small boat ride to reach the temple. Taal Barahi temple is a pagoda-style temple and offers a 360-degree view of magnificent Phewa Lake. After Taal Barahi Temple, we will return to our hotel and rest. In the evening, you are free to go shopping or roam around the colorful streets of Pokhara.

Day 5
Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight
Activities
  • Prepare for the 5th day of the Muktinath yatra from Kathmandu. After breakfast, we will drop you at Pokhara airport for your journey to Kathmandu. Pokhara to Kathmandu flight time is 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, we will pick you from the domestic airport, and your sightseeing starts. On day 5th, you will visit Pashupatinath Temple- one of the most famous Shiva temples on the planet. Then we will visit the well-known Shakti Peeth, Guhyeshwari Temple, situated near Pashupatinath Temple. Then we will visit the Jal Narayan temple. Also called Budhanilkantha Temple, the Jal Narayan temple is an open-air temple of Lord Vishnu. Then we will visit Swayambhunath, a significant temple dedicated to Lord Buddha. Swayambhunath is situated on a small hill. After your Kathmandu tour, you will return to the hotel and rest. The rest of the day is free for you to shop for some souvenirs for your family and friends.
