  • Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple (Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till it gets dark), Bagala Temple and Bhuneswari temple, Umananda Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Ugratara Temple, Sukleswar Temple, Balaji Temple, BhimasankarJyortingling, Basistha temple and Emporium.
  • Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Departure from Guwahati

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to Guwahati airport for your onward journey.

Departure from Guwahati to Shillong
Activities
  • After breakfast, you will drive to Shillong (3 Hrs). Enroute stop at the scenic view point of the Umiam Lake (The Largest Manmade Lake In Northeast India). On reaching check into hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Shillong – Mawllynnong Village – Dawki Border – Shillong (Meghalaya)
Activities
  • Today after breakfast proceed for Mawllynnong Village, The Cleanest Village in Asia (100 kms / 3 hrs one way drive approxx). Reach Mawlynnong and explore the cleanest village in Asia. We will also experience the wonder of the Khasi War Tribes – The Single Dekker Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village. After exploring village we proceed to visit Bophill Falls and further to Dawki (Indo – Bangladesh Border) 1 ½ Hrs from Village. After reaching we do boat ride at Umngot River or Dawki River. After exploring proceed to Shillong (3 Hrs approxx.) and relax at hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Meghalaya)
Activities
  • Today after breakfast we visit Elephant Falls, and later drive to Cherrapunjee (2 Hrs one way), on reaching visit Mawkadok Valley ViewPoint, Wakhaba Falls, Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Lime Stone Cave, Arwa Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Danthlen Falls, and Thankarang Park. Later we return to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Shillong to Guwahati airport

  • After breakfast we drive to Guwahati airport (3 Hrs)

The Kamakhya Temple is situated on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati, Assam, India.

Kamakhya Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, where it is believed that the yoni (womb) of Goddess Sati fell. The temple is famous for its Tantric rituals and association with fertility and womanhood. The annual Ambubachi Mela, celebrating the menstruation of the goddess, draws thousands of devotees.

The best time to visit is from October to March when the weather is pleasant. However, the Ambubachi Mela in June is also a popular time, although the temple remains closed for three days during the festival.

Winter: 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM

By Air: The nearest airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (20 km away).

By Road: Guwahati is well connected to other major cities via road.

No, entry to the Kamakhya Temple is free. However, for a quicker darshan, you can purchase a VIP entry pass.

Yes, there are many budget hotels and guesthouses around the Nilachal Hills. You can also find better accommodations in the main city of Guwahati.

Ambubachi Mela (June): Celebrating the goddess' fertility, the temple remains closed for three days.

Photography is not allowed inside the temple premises, especially in the inner sanctum where the yoni is worshipped. However, you can take pictures of the temple's exterior.
