Along the way, visitors can enjoy local culture, cuisine, and stunning views. It is a transformative experience that combines adventure and devotion.

The Char Dham sites included in the pilgrimage are:

Yamunotri: Yamunotri is located in the western Garhwal Himalayas and is the source of the Yamuna River. The main attraction is the Yamunotri Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.

Badrinath: Located in Chamoli district, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Badrinath temple is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India and attracts thousands of devotees.

The Char Dham Yatra usually begins from the holy cities of Haridwar or Rishikesh. Pilgrims embark on a challenging journey through the scenic Himalayan region and visit all four sites. The pilgrimage is traditionally done in a clockwise direction, starting from Yamunotri and ending at Badrinath.

The pilgrimage season usually begins in April or May and lasts until October or November as the area becomes inaccessible during the winter due to heavy snow. During the pilgrimage, pilgrims pray, perform rituals and bathe in the holy river to purify their spirits.
